There are two types of cholesterol: high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or good cholesterol, and low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or bad cholesterol. Some researchers have argued that medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), a component in coconut oil, may help boost levels of good cholesterol.

Findings from a 2009 animal study suggested that MCTs, present in coconut oil, may help preserve insulin sensitivity.

Virgin coconut oil may have antioxidant properties. In a rodent study, it appeared to reduce stress resulting from exercise and chronic cold.

In a 2017 study, rats with liver disease consumed a high glucose diet either with or without coconut oil. Those which consumed coconut oil had better measures of liver health after 4 weeks than those that didn’t.

Some people have argued that coconut oil leaves people feeling heavier after eating, which means they are fuller without eating much.

Oil pulling is a traditional oral treatment. It involves swishing oil around the oral cavity, in a similar way to the modern mouthwash. Studies have found coconut oil pulling to protect against cavities, improve gingivitis, and influence the oral bacterial balance.

A study comparing two products found that coconut oil was less likely to trigger diabetes and weight gain in mice.

It has a lot of saturated fat. About 84% of its calories come from saturated fat. In comparison, 14% of olive oil’s calories are from saturated fat, the same as butter.

Incase of substituting coconut oil for solid fats, such as butter, use ¼ less coconut oil than the recipe calls for, since coconut oil contains more fat solids.
Use unrefined coconut oil for medium-heat sautéing and baking, and the refined stuff for high-heat applications.
Coconut oil can be grainy because different types of fat have different melting points. To get rid of lumps in coconut oil, melt in a saucepan, microwave, or double broiler.

What products can be returned and when?

You can return your product(s) when you:

1. Are not happy with the quality of the product
2. Receive a product that’s different than what you ordered 
3. Receive a product that looks different from how it appeared on the product page 
4. If the product does not fit well (size issues)
5. Please note the return time for fresh items such as milk, vegetables, fruits is 24 hours, while for non-fresh items like dal, rice, cleaners etc it is 7 days

Please detail your concern along with your order number and send a photo of the items(s) you would like to initiate a refund for. 

Please note that the refund for online payments will be made into the online account that has been used for the transaction (PayTM, Netbanking etc) and as per the phone number used to make the transaction. Please contact PayTM/your Bank Customer Care in case of any discrepancy/delay in receiving your refund.

If you have opted for Cash On Delivery and have opted for a refund, we will issue you a credit note for the refund amount which you can use against future Cash On Delivery orders placed at FTLON.
